Halloween 2012

I opted for the easy costume this year. So Sawyer was a cowboy. But dang, he's a cute cowboy! 

He kept pulling his hat down like this so this was I kept getting when I wanted to get a picture of his cute face with the hat on.

Sawyer's First Time Shooting a Gun

Sawyer's been shooting with us a bunch of times. Actually since I was pregnant with him! But, this was his first time shooting a gun.

Mowing the Lawn

Sawyer loves to mow the lawn just like Daddy. So cute!

Sawyer's First Horseback Ride

Papa took Sawyer for his first horseback ride! Sawyer was a lot more excited before he actually got on. Aren't they cut with their matching shirts?

Some Progress

Here is the only before picture I have with me right now, so I will show you the progress on this room. This was a part of the living room that we are changing into our bedroom. Yep, wood panelling, awesome carpet. Hello 1970's. This was an old couple's home and this must have been the woman's sewing room because there was at least a thousand pins and needles in the carpet. Seriously tons, it was kind of tricky pulling out the carpet and trying not to get stabbed!

Here it is with just the carpet ripped up, looking in from the living room. That is the front door that you can see open on the left.

This is actually in another room but that door goes to the room we are converting to our bedroom. It was hidden under the wood panelling in this room and the bookshelf in the other room.

This is that same door that was the bookshelf. They paneled right over wallpaper and the baseboards and everything. I didn't take a good up-close picture of the baseboard but its really pretty!

There's the room looking in from the living room. You can see its being framed in to become our bedroom.

There was a tile ceiling in this room and when we pulled it off this is what we found. Wallpaper up to and all over the beautiful domed ceiling.

At least they took out the glass from the old window. I'm actually surprised that they did.

That's just the front window in that room.

Well that's where we are on that room! Pretty exciting!

This is our house, but not yet our home. We bought it in March and we have a lot of work to do on it before we can make it our home! But we are very excited to get it done and make it our own! (And no that is not our little girl, that is Sawyer's cousin, Joely.)
